2013 Online Journalism Awards

Did you know you could win a prize for good online journalism? I didn’t, so when I found out, I have to say, I was quite exited.

The winners will be announced at the 2013 ONA Conference and Online Journalism Awards Banquet, later on this month. Saturday the 19th of October to be exact, at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel in Atlanta. It has already sold out I’m afraid, so you can’t buy a ticket to attend.

ONA stands for Online News Association, and many  journalists come to their conference every year. Here they learn about new techniques, new tools, and get the chance to network quite intensively.

There are 29 categories, and the finalists in those have been selected by 24 very important journalists. Only 12 journalists of that group will determine the winners.

Good luck to all contestants!
